Soul Painting and it's effects on the psyche.

Updated: Feb 11, 2023

Have you ever sat down, knowing you wanted to paint but having no plan as to what the final product is going to be. Yet you just go with the flow of your brain and you try finding peace amongst the uncountable thoughts speeding by. And have you ever noticed that when you are able to work through the mental chaos and find your zen, you produce one of your best works of art to date? I've painted an absurd amount of amazing paintings, having no plan. No set of instructions. No impromptu set of self-made bullet points to follow. Just allowing myself the opportunity to get lost in the grip of acrylic movement, with no rhyme or reason for any choice made, or any pour technique used. I believe its because in those moments we are giving our soul a voice to talk with. A color to communicate by. An identity outside of our human existence, that it probably longs to utilize, sustaining the ability to get it's point across. Could you imagine the backseat our soul has to take in order for our human bodies to have the free will that's needed to make choices (and often mistakes) which, in return, give us the character building wisdom we need to expand in this dimension. Now imagine if your soul had an audible voice that could speak up when you're making a poor choice for yourself. Or to tell you you're on the right path, or doing well for yourself. Or to warn you of impending danger in any given situation. What do you think your soul would say? Now imagine giving your soul a blank canvas to communicate with you on, since communication through words proves impossible. What would your canvas look like when all is said and done? I experimented in exactly this way, with the intention of giving my soul a voice with which to communicate to my earthly existence. The result is the painting below 👇 which has now resumed it's duty of being the cover photo to this blog post. I now challenge you to do the same. Comment or private message me your results. I'm insanely interested in what others souls would look like if provided a blank canvas for communication.
